Thread a Needle Quilting Club

Yesterday the quilting club started at Avon Ave. School. There were five girls. Wannetta (one of the instructors)was giving a quick overview on the parts of the sewing machine. Then the girls had an opportunity to practice sewing a strip. I suggested that they learn how to thread the machine and learn a bobbin. This will make them independent which helps us when we get more involved with our quilting. They also learned how to unplug the machines to be put away. I really enjoyed working with the girls. I'm going to enjoy working with the club this school year. I'm going to take pictures next week to show the progression of the club. Until tomorrow . . .
