Life!

I was wondering how are year would end. We've been blessed not to have any tragic events thus far. Then it happened; got news yesterday that one of my first cousin's lost her youngest son. Of course it was a tragic event. Anything can happen to us at anytime, but when you are consumed by the life of the city it's inevitable. I pray for my family that God will give them strength to get through their loss. I can't imagine what Donna is going through right now. I know it has to be devastating to lose a child. A life that has just started living. May God give them PEACE!

Started Cleaning . . . 112914

Last night, I started cleaning my sewing room. I have so much stuff! I really have to reorganize everything. I'm always buying new notions and fabric and I really need to consume what I have. That's my goal for the end of 2014 and into 2015; use what I have.

Home Bound!

I stayed close to home today. I mailed off my IG mini quilt to Debbie Ingram. I'm so glad I have completed that project. Now it's time for me to focus on quilting all my UFOs. I've enrolled in two more Craftsy online quilt classes. I am going to enjoy the quilting techniques that Dot - to - Dot has to offer.

Thanksgiving Dinner 112714

We had a good Thanksgiving dinner with the family and friends. I got to see family that came from a distance. I got to see all my grandchildren together.

Mailing Friday!

I made an over size pillow to put my mini quilt in. I'm going to send it off on Friday. I have a sleeve and an extra piece of fabric that I'm sending. I am going to send a little note with it.

Quilting Tonight

There are two days before Thanksgiving and I'm going to quilt tonight. I want to make a pillow case for my mini quilt. I want to send it to Debbie. I hope she likes the quilt.

IG Mini Swap

I've finished my mini quilt. I am so happy. Full steam ahead, next project or should I say projects . . . !

 

The last step . . .

The label is the last thing my mini quilt needs and then I'm finished. Up up and away the quilt will go.

Almost Finished . . .112214

I've quilted and bound my mini quilt. Now the last thing I have to do is the label. Then in the mail it goes. I'm so happy with the outcome.

Binding Today!

After Taekwondo I'm going to work on my binding. I have to finish it tonight; at least choosing the right on.

Burying the Threads!

I watched a couple of youtube videos last night to make sure I was doing it right. I have a lot of threads to bury in my 24" quilt before I add the binding and label. I'm up for the challenge.

Moving Forward . . .

I quilted my IG mini quilt tonight. I'm going to work on it tomorrow. I have to embed the threads in the quilt. Then all that's left is my label and binding.

Stop Procrastinating!

I have to quilt my IG mini quilt. I don't know why I get to this point and stop. It's not a large quilt, but I have a problem finishing this step.

It's been a long time that I spent the all day in church. We were celebrating Men's Day. We had two sevrvices. My son's father-in-law was preaching. It was a most enjoyable message.

The Journey Continues

I can finally get a little breather, but I am willing to commit to taking William to Taekwondo twice a week. I know it's going to be a big sacrifice, but I will do it if he wants to continue Taekwondo classes.

Busy Week 111114 - 111414

I haven't made time to blog this week. I've been meditating. I signed up for a 21 day meditation with Deepak Chopra and Oprah.

IG MINI QUILT SWAP . . .

Tonight I have to start quilting my mini quilt. It has to be completed and mailed by Dec. 1st. This has to  be done. I am enjoying my season.

Another Retreat 11614-11914

I was elated that I was apart of the Delaware's Quilt Retreat. I just enjoyed being away and doing something I enjoy. I shopped, ate nutritionally, and exercised too. All in all I had a great time! I did start a new quilt and I made a small box bag.

Ready to Go!

I'm packed and ready for my first retreat in Pa. I'm going with Karen and Annette A. I look forward to a change of pace and scenery. When I return I have to complete my IG mini Swap and send it off to Debbie.

Procrastinating Again!

I was suppose to have everything packed for my trip, but once again I've procrastinated. I will have to do everything tonight because I have a busy day tomorrow. The bulletin must be at church tomorrow.

Getting Ready . . .

I'm going on a quilt retreat on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2012. I'm going with Karen and Annette A. I have to start packing tomorrow.
