Go with God!

God will not lead you just anywhere. He will send you where you belong. I thank God for the people he puts in my life. I'm going to try to begin cleaning my sewing room again. It needs to be rearranged.

Time to harvest . . .

Fall is definitely a time to harvest. I love the colors, the smell, the look, the temperature.

What's Next?

I'm not sure because I still have several UFOs to complete. I didn't get a chance to do anything today because I spent the day taking care of my mom's business.

R&R

Today I'm a little laid back. Trying to take my time. I know I have to get dressed soon. Today is WP1's birthday and I want to take him a card for his birthday.

Moving Day . . .

I will blog about the outcome at a later time. I have to get ready to depart. The move!

Teacups tonight . . .

I'm going to work on my christmas stocking tonight. I look forward to seeing the group tonight; can't wait.

Laundry . . .

I went to the laundry today. I had a lot of blankets to wash. I still have clothes to wash but I'm glad that I washed a lot of things today.

What's Next?

I have to quilt my two small quilts, but first I have to think about how to quilt them. I want to make Douge's granddaughters a quilt.

Great Time!

I had a good time at the cookout. It was good to see all my friends and family. I pray that God will keep them safe and give them good health.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

I gave my sister and impromptu birthday party. She was really surprise. I got the food she wanted several different cakes. Tiffanie made her cupcakes; they were scrumptious. She had a good time. I was glad to do this for her. Tomorrow she's going to our nephew's house and he will have another surprise for her.

NJMQG

I couldn't wait to get to my guild meeting tonight. I made a zippered pouch for Diane. I was so thankful for the scraps of fabric that she gave me, so I made the pouch for her. I also got a nice pincushion from Jessica. I enjoy being a member of NJMQG.

Finishing Up!

I have to stitch up my chicken pincushion do I can hand it in tomorrow at the NJMQG meeting.

No Sewing Tonight

I was so wrapped up in spending time with Frances and other family members from Virginia that I forgot about sewing, Taekwondo, and anything else that I had to do this evening. Sometimes a little change is good. I was glad that I was able to help Penn with his laptop. I had a good day.

Blessings . . .

I have wonderful neighbors. I truly believe that God gives us what we need when we need it. I've lived in this house since Charles went to high school. My neighbor/landlord is more than that. They are family, and I am very grateful for them.

Marathon . . .

Yesterday, I was determined to complete as many projects as I can. I made a pin cushion thread bag, a pin cushion chicken, started my Christmas stocking, and a casserole carrier. I went to bed after one. I was tired but couldn't get to sleep. Thinking about what I had to finish tomorrow.

Did you know? Mary had a little lamb she fed it casterol and every where the lamb went she fertilized the soil. 

Serenity . . .

It's such a wonderful day. It's a pleasure quilting with the teacups. We have God's open space in the wilderness. Crossroads is an ideal place for a quilt retreat. A large facility with fresh food; no fast food allowed. Fellowship in its best form. The sound of the sewing machines never stop.

On My Way!

I'm up and getting ready for my quilt retreat. I will not get there in time for breakfast, but I will get there. I'm bringing a few things to quilt. I hope I get several things completed or started.

Getting Ready!

I'm excited and a little hesitant. I'm driving to the quilt retreat this year, and I know me. I always manage to make the wrong turn because I don't trust myself with directions. I read, read and read them over and over, and I still manage to get lost. I'm not going to let that happen this time. I am going to let God be my navigator and listen to the spirit for guidance. Anyway I'm getting ready and I'm excited! Coming back will be okay because I will have someone with me. Any who, I stayed up late working on a quilt as you go pillow. I finished it. Now I have to complete my challenge top before I get to the retreat. Impossible but doable! Finally finished my quilt as you go quilt; still needs a label. Love the technique! Pillow

Too Busy . . . 81314

I was too busy to stop and blog my Wednesday episode. I started working on a pillow to match my Sunshine quilt. I also had a meeting to go to about starting your own travel business. I was very interested in this business; mainly for traveling myself. I went and felt good about what I heard, and I do want to get into the business; however my spirit kept telling me to be anxious for nothing, so I didn't sign up yet. I did tell Catherine that I would let her know tomorrow.

Binding Finished!

What a relief! I finished sewing the binding on my Sunshine quilt; that's what I named it. I love when I finish a project. Now I'm going to work on the next project. Woohoo!

Finally Finishing

I sewed on my binding and now I'm hand sewing it down. I love the final outcome. It looks good. I have to add a picture to my blog.

Unrushed

The message today was so powerful. I'm always rushing and trying to make things happen. I'm always trying to make it happen the way I want it to happen. Be anxious for nothing is the message. Wait on the Lord.

Baby Shower 8914

We had a good time at the baby shower. Of course I hate getting lost, but God directed my path and I found the place.

I Lied!

I said I was going to work on my quilts and I did absolutely nothing. I didn't even work on the church program. I will have to do it tomorrow morning before I go to the baby shower.

Catch Up . . .

Today I have to work on catching up on my quilting. May have to do a late night quilter.

Movie Day!

Today my sister and I are going to the movies. We are going to see the James Brown movie, Get On Up, but before that I'm washing my clothes. I am so blessed that My neighbor and friend let me use her washing machine.

National Night Out

Every year since 1987, communities throughout the United States celebrate taking back their communities. Well, tonight DeHart Park was the cite for this gathering. I was there because this was our quilt night.

Lecture Tonight

My sister and I are going to a quilt lecture tonight.

Travel . . .

It was an interesting day. I traveled with my sisters and my nephew to Connecticut. My sister Rose was taking my nephew to visit his father. He was going to stay with him for a week. It was a nice ride and and interesting little town that they once lived in.

Celebration!

Today we are going to a graduation celebration. My friend's son graduated from high school. This is the last one to graduate. I know she's so happy. I've know her since her youngest was in grade three. So, we are going to celebrate his finish!

Last Day of VBS

Tonight my sister and I are going to vacation bible school.
