God's Order

Today went well. I was able to help my son, and still make it to VBS for craft time. We are going back tomorrow to help.

Designing . . .

I'm working on writing a pattern for my Metro Lines design that I'm making. I'm going to upload it on Craftsy and I've already put it on my Pieces to Patch blog. I'm excited! Maybe someone will see it and use it.

Moving Forward!

My mom will be moving soon. It's been a slow progression, but it's moving in the forward. Today she was suppose to sign her lease but things weren't ready. God's in control and only He knows why it's taking this long. He's preparing us for what is needed when this final okay comes. I can't wait!

Moving right along . . .

So far things are moving right along. The LFA items were picked up. My sister did her chores and I finished my baby quilt top. I'm trying to think of a name for it.

A Little ADHD

I think we all have a little ADHD in us. I started working on another baby quilt using some of the left over fabric from the one I made for NaNa and JR's baby boy. I still have to finish my QAYG. Oh well it's late and I'm going to hit the hay.

Busy and Fun!

My sister and I worked the food pantry today at church. It was a busy day, but I got a lot accomplished. Then when it was over the fun began. We went to a beautiful spirited baby shower. We had a great time! I made a quick quilt for the baby.

Finish the Quilt!

I have to get started again and finish the quilt as you go that I'm working on. I did no sewing yesterday, so I have to try to get some in today.

Being Obedient

It's really hard for me to say no to my mom and she knows it. I did what she asked and I took her section 8 paper to the housing authority in Elizabeth. I thank God for another fulfilled day. I did all that I had to do and my day ran smoothly. I asked God to order my day and show me the way and He did. One bite at a time, an not sweating the small stuff.

Late Night . . .

I started working on my QAYG. I added the sashing to the blocks and tomorrow I'll add the sashing to the rows.

Sashing . . .

Tonight is my quilting night and I have show and tell. I'm so proud of what I've completed. I am going to start the next step of the QAYG method and that is to add sashing to the blocks this will connect them together. I completed one and a half rows at the Teacups gathering and I finished the row at home. I'm not going to stay up late tonight. I'm going to bed before midnight. I'm still trying to think of a back for my In the Box quilt.

I hope to complete the last four blocks tonight. Then put them together. I've completed eight blocks, four to go.

Late Night Quilting Again 72014

I found myself working on my quilting at night instead of during the day. I started last week and haven't stopped yet. I completed a zippered box pouch, a quilt top, and now I'm working on a quilt as you go.

Today I'm going to start my quilt as you go project. I cut the batting and now I'm going to get my srips cut out. Hope this all goes well.

Not Focused . . .

I'm all over the place, and still not working on what I need to be completing. However, I did complete a quilt top last night and now I'm working on a zippered box pouch. Diane (one of my guild friends) gave me some yellow, gray, black, and white scrap fabric. I decided to use some of it to make her a box pouch; to show my appreciation.  I'm using the Crafty Gemini's tutorial for the pouch. I will post pictures soon.

He's So Wonderful

I have to really stop worrying. That's the control in me. God has everything under control. He ordered this day and it ran so smoothly. I'm so thankful for His promises and his second chances, and third and fourth, and on and on.

New Project

I started a new project on the 12th of July. I know I shouldn't have but I did. I think I'm ADHD. Sometimes I have to do something different before I complete what I was doing first. Sounds crazy I know but that's me. I'm not sure where this is going.

I've sewn some half square triangles together, but I'm not sure what my next step will be.? I didn't quilt tonight with my group, instead I stayed home and caught up on laundry and prepared dinner. One bite at a time.

Ideas needed . . .

I need new ideas for quilt tops. I need to make several quilts for toddlers and babies.

Hand quilting . . .

I'm going to hand quilt my twisted sister quilt. It's going to be a big job, but I want to try to hand quilt one of my quilts. I am also going to pillowcase some of my quilt tops. I want to finish my UFOs. One bite at a time and I will get this done.

Today, I'm going to go to my meeting and we will have a sewathon and show and tell.

A Night Out with Friends! 71114

I had a great evening with my quilting buddies. Lindy opened her house up to us and we celebrated Karen's new job. Food, laughter and of course dessert. I'm glad I made it. Fellowship is very important.

Lunch with Mazi

My son came over to spend visit and have lunch with me. We got a chance to talk and catch up a little on what's going on with him and other things. He made his visit a productive one because he washed his clothes while he was here. I enjoyed having someone to talk too.

Another Busy Day

I took my car to the dealer for rear brakes. It took awhile and of course more than I expected to pay. I was so annoyed by the cost but I had to get it done. I had all kinds of thoughts running through my mind. After the dealer I took my sister to ShopRite.

Borders . . .

I'm looking for interesting borders to add to my new challenge.

Another Day . . .

I slept later than usual and then my phone rang. It was a friend who needed my help. I got up and showered and dressed and out the door I went to help. After that I went to the grocery store and then back home. I have to take the recycle and then I want to start my Tea Cup challenge. I have to find the directions but I have an idea how to start. I'm really happy with my MMC quilt. I have to practice to get better at what I do, but I'm pleased with the outcome.

Binding Completed 7614

Wow! I forgot to blog again. I went to church and came back home. I worked on my binding and spent the rest of the evening hand stitching the binding. I'm finished. I will attach a photo on Tuesday.

Last step . . .

I'm on the last step. The binding; I'm favoring the aqua fabric instead of the dirt fabric. I know it's a light color but I think it will pop it. So of course I went to Rock Paper Scissor and bought some more material. Did I need it? No! I'm going to stop this part of my bad habits. I have to work on this.  

Quilting the Quilt 7414

I have to stop sweating the small stuff. I have to stop spending unnecessary money. I have to clean up my life and utilize what I have. I worked on my quilt all day yesterday. I've finished and the results are okay. I'm not that happy with it because I didn't follow all of the necessary steps to make it come out even. I have to work on it. One bite at a time.

Finally . . .

I'm getting back on track. I finally rewashed my three day old clothes that sat in the washer. I also took my sister to get a haircut and dropped off recycle items. Tiffanie came to get the water  jugs and I gave her the food server. I'm eating it one bite at a time. I need to start quilting my quilt. I have to get it done. I also have my Tea Cup challenge.

Monthly chores . . .

As usual the first of the month requires me to take care of my mother's bills in addition to my own. The she wants or needs me to take my sister to the store. My mom doesn't"t want to spend her money but she wants you to get things for her. Go figure! The cycle hasn't changed. For as long as I can remember this is all we did as kids. We took care of her!

Still not there . . .

I haven't touched the kitchen in two days. My right arm was so sore yesterday after the funeral. I couldn't do anything.

Missed a Day 63014

This was the last day of the month and I forgot to blog. I went to a very sad funeral. I also found out that one of my niece Aniyyah is having a baby. Maybe that was my fish dream, but everyone else knew she was pregnant except me. Go figure! Anyway, I'm still working on eating that elephant, so I need to stay on track.
