Another day . . .

I started cleaning my kitchen. I mean cleaning! I washed walls, floors, every appliance, and I still have more to do. I should have taken pictures of before so I could show you after, but I'm going to take some of what I've done so far.

Cook-Out Today

I'm going out today or should I say we are going out today. Ms. Alexander is having a birthday cook-out. I can't wait to go, but first I have several things to do.

God is Good!

I'm always in prayer and I will stay in prayer. I'm thanking God for his wondrous works. I thank him for the people he puts in our path. I'm so thankful and will be relieved when she is in her new apartment. I'm sending up a special prayer for all those people going through medical situations, bereavements, or just waiting on God to move them from one place to another. I thank God for everything. Praises go up and the blessings come down.  

Not sure . . .

Last night I started quilting my challenge and didn't like it. I had the wrong color thread and I really didn't like the pattern. I took it out and changed the thread color. I started again, and had to take out four rows. I'm still not sure how I want to quilt this quilt.

Appointments Today . . .

Today I had to take Fee for her dental cleaning. After that we went to Elizabeth to pick up mommy. She had a blood work appointment. I got their a little after nine and called for her to come downstairs. She told me she wasn't going but she needed her prescriptions picked up and of course she needed some food.  

Tea Cups Tonight

I really enjoy quilting and having fellowship with my friends. I am basting my quilt tonight to start quilting it.

To Do List . . .

Today is going to be another busy day. I have several things to do and make sure I get them done before one o'clock.

Almost ready to sandwich . . .

I started piecing my back for the MM Challenge. I have to add two four and a half strips on two sides and then I'm ready to sandwich my quilt. What I've noticed about my top is that I've stretched it by ironing it or pressing it too much. I hope I can fix this problem. I don't want it to look bad; not after all the time I've put into it.

My Service

Once a month my sister and I work the food pantry. We give food to people in need.

Lazy Day 62014

We did absolutely nothing on Friday.

One completed . . .

One done a million to go. at least it seems that way. I completed the mug rug and now I'm going to work on my MM challenge. Then the Tea Cups challenge.

Needs a binding . . .

Almost finished with my mug rug. Have to work on it tonight.

Try again . . .

Today I have to complete my mug rug and start on my back for my Michael Miller challenge. I've procrastinated enough. I haven't even begun to eat that elephant. My top is completed now I have to stop playing around and finish the back.

Pressed for time . . .

Once again the procrastinator came out in me and I'm backed in a corner. I have several things to complete before Wednesday. I did get to Joann's so I can print out the labels.

Refocus . . .

Sometimes I think I'm ADHD. I'm always all over the place. I try to stay on task, and do one thing at a time. I start out doing this and then I get off track. I have to work on several things; starting today. I have to eat this elephant one bite at a time.

Mug Rug

I have to start my project for the NJMQG. I've viewed several videos and I've decided to do delectable mountains. Now I just need to do it. I'm so slow! I know I procrastinate too much.

Cancelled again . . .

My friend who has the Thread a Needle Club had to cancel our session again. She's been ill and needs to rest. Hopefully we will meet net week and if not I'll get things to her when she's back at work. So today I'm going to work on the back for my MM Challenge.

Traveling again . . .

Today is another doctor day. I have to take my mom to the heart doctor. She has a late appointment. When I come back I hope to get some other work done. I have to prepare for my Thread a Needle Club. We are having our reception next week and I have to print out the programs and etc.

Rainy Day

Boy is it pouring outside! The sky opened up and turned the faucet on. It doesn't matter. I have an early morning doctor appointment, so as soon as KZ2 comes we are off to pick up my sister. This is a very slow day. The rain seems to slow me down. I know I have things to do but there's no rush.

Positive thoughts . . .

You have to be careful how and what you say about yourself. When you send negative words into the atmosphere thats what comes back to you, so you have to send out positive affirmations about yourself. Say what you want and own it. God is rich in houses and land and He has promised us the desires of our hearts. We must TRUST Him. He will provide these things for us. Say you are healthy, you are smart, you are going to be debt free. Say you are going to have another job that makes you happy. Don't put yourself down or always think things will go wrong. Stop sweating the small stuff. Let Go and Let God. It is already done!

Absolutely nothing . . .

I guess you can say I worked smarter and not herder today. I had three errands to run but two of them I had other people do them for me. My son was going to the same bank that I was going to so I asked him to make my deposit. My sister stopped by to visit for a few minutes and I asked her to take the medicine and laundry detergent to my mom. The last errand was to the recycle center and I decided not to do that, so on Monday I will take care of that. I actually went back to sleep after lunch and slept for a couple of hours. I didn't even finish quilting my MM top.

Trying to decide . . .

I have to add another border to complete my Michael Miller Challenge quilt top. I think I've narrowed it down. The color dirt is the one I will use.

Almost done . . .

Late last night I worked on my NJMQG Challenge. I added two more borders. I hope it's not too much.  I want to try to complete the top tonight, so I can begin quilting it. I think the orange was toned down when I added he last two borders. I'm going to add another orange border and that will complete my top.

Tea Cups Tonight

I'm going to quilt tonight with my group at St. George's Church. The center isn't available today. Today is election day.  I have to remember to vote. I have until this evening. I'm still not sure about what I'm going to do for my mug rug or black and white border challenge.

Finishing my Challenges

I'm going to work on the Michael Miller challenge today. I want to add borders, but not sure how many I should add. I have to start my stocking and mug rug too.

I See the Light

I finally finished taking out the stitches on Briana's quilt. I also spent time quilting around the inside rectangle perimeter. I used black machine quilting thread and a topstitch needle.
